"IT IS OUR DUTY TO CONCENTRATE ALL OUR INFLUENCE TO MAKE POPULAR THAT WHICH IS SOUND AND GOOD, AND (TO MAKE) UNPOPULAR THAT WHICH IS UNSOUND (AND NOT GOOD)."

THIS MAKES NO SENSE. IF YOUR SCARED OF COPS, AND ALL THESE ADULTS WHO GET YOU IN TROUBLE JUST CHOOSE THE RIGHT AND YOU WONT GET IN TROUBLE. BUT IF YOU A THUG AND YOU dgaf DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO.
I DON'T KNOW ANY EXAMPLE TO THIS, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!

SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS
9. … Don’t cram for exams. Successful students know that divided periods of study are more effective than cram sessions, and they practice it.
If there is one thing study specialist agree on, it is that distributed study is better than massed, late night, last-ditch efforts known as cramming. You’ll learn more, remember more, and earn a higher grade by studying in four, one hour-a-night session for Friday’s exams than studying for four hours straight on Thursday night. Short, concentrated preparatory efforts are more efficient and rewarding than wasteful, inattentive, last moment marathons. Yet, so many students fail to learn this lesson and end up repeating it over and over again until it becomes a wasteful habit. Not too clever, huh?
When you cram, you are taking a shortcut, and shortcuts never produce any real worthwhile results. Also, when you take shortcuts, you feel rather rotten knowing that you could have done better but didn’t. Shortcuts cut you short. You can’t harvest watermelon seeds and harvest fresh watermelons the next day. It takes time. Cramming for a test or project and expecting to make a high score the next day is like planting watermelons seeds and expecting to harvest and eat fresh watermelon the next day. Plus cramming for a test or project doesn’t help you academically, so why even do it. Plan ahead, prepare ahead. Give yourself plenty of days and weeks to prepare for upcoming accountability opportunities.

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT
"WHATS RIGHT ISN'T ALWAYS POPULAR. WHATS POPULAR ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT."
-Howard Cosell

this is very true. nowadays everybody does bad things just cause a lot of people do it. for example, a lot of people do drugs, and the people who don't do those things think its okay. someone might smoke GFUNK and smoke weed or sell those things, and the other person is gonna want the money hes making so he gonna start to do the same thing just because he things its cool just because everybody does it.

7. . . . understand that actions affect learning. Successful students know their personal behavior affect their feelings and emotions which in turn can affect learning.
If you act in a certain way that normally produces particular feelings, you will begin to experience those feelings. Act like you’re bored, and you’ll become bored. Act like your disinterested, and you’ll become disinterested. So the next time you have trouble concentrating in the classroom, “act” like and interested person: lean forward, place your feet flat on the floor, maintain eye contact with the professor, nod occasionally, take notes, and ask questions. Not only will you benefit from your actions, your class mate and professor may also get more exited and enthusiastic.
8. . . . talk about what they’re learning. Successful students get to know something well enough that they can put it into words. Talking about something well enough that they can put it into words. Talking about something, with friends or classmates, is not only good for checking whether or not you know something, it’s a proven learning tool. Transferring ideas into words provides the most direct path for moving knowledge from short-term to long-term memory. You really don’t “know” material until you can put it into words. So next time you study, don’t do it silently. Talk about notes, problems, readings, etc. with friends, recite to a chair, organize an oral study group, pretend you’re teaching your peers. “talk-learning” produces a whole host a memory traces that result in more learning.

"THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIGHT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT"
-MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

THIS QUOTE IS THE ONLY QUOTE I WOULD SAY IS TRUE. YOU CAN DO WHATS RIGHT ANYTIME OF THE DAY, MORNING, AFTERNOON, AND NIGHT. MARTIN LUTHER KING MAKES A LOT OF SENSE, AND HE KNOWS JUST WHAT TO SAY TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK. THERE'S OTHER QUOTES ON THESE THINGS THAT DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE JUST A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE PERFECT AND THEY KNOW EVERYTHING. BUT MA NIGGA KING KNOWS WASSUP. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY. HE MADE MANY PEOPLE THINK, AND CHANGE THE WAY THEY ACT. SOME PEOPLE DIDN'T LIKE HIM, SO THEY DECIDED TO MURDER HIM.

R.I.P MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

3. . . . ask questions. Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge. In addition to securing knowledge you seek, asking questions has at least two other extremely important benefis. The process helps you pay attention to your professor and helps your professor pay attention to you! Think about it. If you want something, go after it. Get the answer now, or fail a question later. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silence. It’s your choice.
4. . . . learn that a student and a professor make a team. Most instructors want exactly what you want: they would like for you to learn the material in their respective classes and earn a good grade.
Successful students reflect well on the efforts of any teacher; if you have learned your material, the instructor takes some justifiable pride in teaching. Join forces with your instructor, they are not an enemy, you share the same interests, the same goals – in short, your teammates. Get to know your professor. You’re the most valuable players on the same team. Your jobs are to work together for mutual success. Neither wishes to chalk up a losing season. Be a team player!

Tennessee walking horse trainer torture horses:

its messed up what these people do. why would they do that? if i were to see that i'll probably do the same to them foos just so they can feel how it feels, and then just beat they ass. people nowadays have a messed up head, those people needed to go to jail or something. but since he a white guy its okay for him to torture horses. i know for a FACT that if a mexican does that they'll probably lock him up and deport him or something, but since it was that fat white guy they don't do anything. but its pretty messed up what they did, they deserve to get punished for it.

study for multiple exams

Study for multiple exams
My strategies for written assignments: everyone has their own writing styles. I generally come up with and idea and do massive amounts of research before I ever think about writing. I then organize my research then sometimes then sometimes prepare an outline before actually writing. I always print out the paper and come back to it the next day and reread it. That is the easiest way for me to catch my own mistakes. I have to give my eyes a break from it, and if I just wrote it I think it looks perfect. But if I look at it a day later I almost always find grammatical errors or phrases and sentences I just want to reword.
How I succeed in team projects: never assume someone is doing what they are supposed to be doing. Have regular meetings and have each member show their work, not just give you or the group their word for it.

Study For multiple exams

Study For multiple exams
Part 1
How I study for multiple exams, deal with multiple projects: really it is my time management that I explained above. If I see I have multiple things due or to study for all at the same time spread out my time beforehand. For example, if I have a test Monday, and 2 tests Tuesday then I will study for my Monday test Thursday and part of Friday. Start studying for my next test on the second half of Friday and part of Saturday, then my second Tuesday test on the second half of Friday and part of Saturday, then my second Tuesday test on as well and part of Sunday. Then Sunday night I can review for my Monday test because I already studied for it. When that test is over I can begin reviewing for the other tests. My overall study method: I try to break it up over several days or at least two. I get bogged down if I try to pull an all nighter. How I overcome a initial bad grade: if I received a low grade I probably knew It was coming because I didn’t prepare properly or I didn’t use the right study habit for that class. I usually try to go over what I did wrong and sometimes discuss with the teacher what I can do differently on the next exam or what they suggest I do for studying for the next exam.

work together part 3

Work together
    Part3

Here are my final word of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college;  a big thing that not many will say is to ask for help needed it. Its not a bad thing to not understand, it’s a bad thing if you don’t do any thing about it. Plan you time out so you are compleating everything that needs to get done and leave time to double check.write things down and have good time management skills. Ask for help is probably the biggest thing I can say though. If you don’t understand, go to the office hours or find a classmate that does understand and is willing to help you. If you try hard, it will come to you.

I find myself thinking that I would have to try harder to fail than I tried to succed. It is something that is within me to succed. If that is not who you are, then hoprfully things that I have done can show you that success is something that is amazing to find! Good luck

WORK TOGETHER
PART 2
English, math, foreign language tips: for math, all I can say is do the problems assigned. It is the only way to practice and that’s really all it is for math. It’s the same for chemistry; if you do the practice problems you will understand the material so much better because those subjects are not just memorization like history, you need to be able to apply what you have learned in practice situations. As for English, I am no longer taking it, but I would say to leave yourself plenty of time to write essays and papers. They take time to get all the information out of your head and onto the page, so don’t leave them until the last second.

tiger woods ignores his needy brother.

this article talks about how tiger woods ignores his brother who is losing his home and is ill. my opinion is that maybe tiger and his brother didn't get along that good, or maybe his brother did something and tiger wont forgive him. it can also be that tiger is being stingy.

effective study methods

Effective Study Methods
Part 3
How I deal with multiple projects/tests: when I have more than one test or project, I break up my studying. I will study for one test for 30 minutes or so and then switch to the other one. If there is some part of a project that I know will not take me very long, I will do it when I don’t have much time. If I am really in a crunch for time on a specific day, I will study for one test in the morning and the other in the afternoon or at night. By breaking up the study into different sections, I feel like I get much more done. Cram sessions do not work for me. I need to study something for a shorter period of time more often for it to sink in.

Effective study methods Part 2

Effective study methods
Part 2
My time management secret: my secret is to use time wisely. I know that on certain days I do not have time to run errands or hang out with friends even. Each minute of each day is used for something. One thing that works really well for me is to write everything down. I mean everything. I write down if I am going to email people, write letters, or study. It works for me to have a planner that goes by the day and shows me what I am going to be doing every day. Knowing what I have to do every day helps me plan out my week and my days. If I know I do not have time on Tuesday, I will try to get more things done by Monday or Sunday. I plan ahead, especially if I am going to be in the road for volleyball. When I am on the road, I bring my books and read on the bus/plane/hotel room. Missing class is killer to make up from, but if you are upfront with your professors, they are usually nice about having to turn things in late or not being in classes.

Effective study methods

Effective study methods
Part 1
My test study method: when it comes time to study for the test, I usually start 2-3 days before the test. I go through my notes and make flashcards on what the teacher said. If there are practice problems or online assignments or old test, I use those to help me study for the test as well. Once the test is over, I keep the flashcards so that I have them for the next test or the final. Flash cards are a marvelous learning tool. The key to remembering something is to repeat it numerous times-spaces rehearsal. If you forget something, it is because you haven’t repeated it enough time for an extended period of time. Repetition is a law of learning; therefore, to learn and remember, to recall, it is mandatory that you repeat over and over the things you desire to learn and remember. You may be thinking, “oh no, repeating something.” you need to get used to it. For example, the more you practice a song on the piano, the better you become at playing that song. Learning and remembering is like playing the piano-the more practice saying or doing it the better you can remember it. Look now at what you remember. You remember it because you have repeated it numerous times since first being exposed to it. So, practicing rehearsing those things you desire to remember, and they will stick with you. The better you remember, the more you pleasure you obtain from studying and learning.
