"its better to be alone than to be in bad company."
Anon
no it isn't.
i rather be in a group of friends than to be loner. i don't care if they do drugs or bad things thats them. people do bad things because they want to, not because people MAKE them do it. if someone tells you to do something and you don't wanna do it but you still do it because they pressure you, your just Stupid in the head. so NAHH it ain't better.
what if one day you are chillen with your friends that just read books and drink orange juice instead of beer and some guys run up on yall and beats all yall up and takes your lunch money. What are you gonna do? throw a book? CRY? or probably piss on your pants.
but since you don't hang out with "Bad company" you don't got friends with guns and shanks that could beat them up. all you got is a bunch of Cats who are gonna sit there and get beaten and cry and run to there momma.
but if you hang out with the "bad company" them foos who tried to punk you gonna get beat up and stabbed up or shot at with that .22 your homie got on his waist.
then you tax them instead.
you should change this quote to "Being in Bad Company is better than being with a bunch of cats who still wet the bed"
10 Time management Tips for Students
10 Time management Tips for Students
Tips 1-4
Organizing your life
Managing your time well
is an important element of success---
Especially if you’re a
student. If you set priorities that fit your needs and lifestyle, you’ll have a
better chance of achieving your goals. Here are some tips for taking control of
your time and organizing your life.
Tip 1. Make to-do list every day.
Put things that are
most important on top and do them first. And don’t forget to reward yourself
for accomplishments.
Tip 2. Use spare minutes wisely.
When you’re commuting
on the bus or train, use some time to get some reading done.
Tip 3. Its okay to say no.
If your friends asks
you to go to a movie on a Thursday night and you have an exam the next morning,
realize that it’s okay to say no. keep your short- and long-term priorities in
mind.
Tip 4. Find the right time
You’ll work more
efficiently if you figure out when you do your best work. For example, if your
brain handles math better in the afternoon, don’t wait to do it until late at
night.

3) Heart: Always do
what is right so your heart, your conscience, will feel peaceful. When you do
wrong, your conscience will prick you and regretful sensations within your
heart. When you do what you honestly feel, you won’t have any regrets. Your heart
is your internal compass---it gives you direction and discernment. Just like a
magnetic compass gives directions, even true north, your personal compass, your
heart, will point you in your true north, the exact directions and paths you
need to trod.
4) soul: study
scriptures and other sacred literature daily. In other words, feed your spirit
because spirit needs spiritual food just like your physical body needs temporal
food to survive. Pondering, meditating, and reflecting are excellent
soul-sharpening activities. Try writing your thoughts, feelings, aspirations,
concerns, and decisions in a diary or journal. Writing helps you focus and make
good decisions.
Get into the habit of
daily improving your body (physical fitness), your mind, your heart, and your
soul.

Habit 6
Habit 6: Synergize
Synergize is achieved when two or more people work together
to create something better than either could alone. Through this habit, teens
learn it doesn’t have to be “your way” or “my way” but rather a better way, a higher
way. Synergy allows teens to value differences and better appreciate others. Synergy
is the reward, the delicious fruit you’ll taste as you get better at living the
other habits, especially at thinking win-win and seeking first to understand. Learning
to synergize is like learning to form V formations with others instead of
trying to fly through life solo. You’ll be amazed at how much faster and
farther you’ll go. Synergy doesn’t just happen. It’s a process. You have to get
there. And the foundation of getting there is this: learn to celebrate
differences.
A good band is a great example of synergy. It’s not just the
drums, or the guitar, or the sax, or the vocalist, it’s all of them together
that make up the “sound.” Each band member brings his or her strengths to the
table to create something better that each could alone. No instrument is more
important than another, just different.

Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is a day for couples. When
they can be together and spend time with each other, talk, give each other
gifts, or for some young girls around here, to give there boyfriend their
virginity. I honestly don’t know what Valentine’s Day is. That was just my
opinion. People stress a lot sometimes because they don’t have a valentine and I
find that really stupid. All these dumb girls all sad because they don’t have a
valentine. Well, if you weren’t that much of a hoe with all these guys around
the school and in the streets someone would of probably gave you something or
asked you to be their valentine, uglyass. They act like if it’s so important. The
whole year they are alone and then Valentine’s Day comes and they feel like they
really need someone. I don’t care about Valentine’s Day, if I have a valentine
or I don’t it’s still the same thing. I might not have a valentine, but I can
promise you that I’ll have a girl at my house tonight. Even if she’s not my
valentine, or my girlfriend I don’t care. I’m still gonna handle. Valentines is
just a day when guys spend their money on their Girlfriend/crush but not me.
HELL NO. I aint gonna waste my money on some dumb girl. Ima be posted in my
porch, doing what I do every day, chillen with the homies.
The only special person I always buy
something for is my mom. Now she is very special to me. Unlike all these dumb
hoes roaming these streets. I’ve never been into this Valentine’s Day BS. The only
things I’ve ever given to a girl on that day are those little Valentine’s Day
cards from the 99 cent store, and that’s because I was like in the 3rd
or 2nd grade.
7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
Habit 4
4. Think Win-Win
Teens can learn to foster the belief that it is
possible to create an atmosphere of win-win in every relationship. This habit
encourages the idea that in any given discussion or situation both parties can
arrive at mutually beneficial solution. Your teen will learn to celebrate the
accomplishments of others instead of being threatened by them. Win-Win is a
belief that everyone can win. It’s both nice and tough all at once. I won’t
step on you, but I won’t be your doormat either. You care about other people and
you want them to succeed. But you also care about yourself, and you want to
succeed as well. Win-Win is abundant. It is the belief that there’s plenty of
success to go around. It’s not either you or me. It’s both of us. It’s not a
matter of who gets the biggest piece of the pie. There’s more than enough food
for everyone. Its and all-you-can-eat buffet.
Win-win always creates more. Perhaps the most surprising
benefit of thinking win-win or one of the alternatives is how you feel. Win-lose
and lose-win thinking will cloud your judgment and fill you with negative
feelings.
Win-Win will fill your heart with happy and serene
thoughts. It will give you confidence. Even fill you with light. Think Win-Win
or no deal

"THE ONLY DIFFERENCE TO THOSE WHO HAVE FAILED AND THOSE WHO HAVE SUCCEEDED LIES IN THE DIFFERENCE OF THEIR HABITS. GOOD HABITS ARE THE KEY TO ALL SUCCESS. BAD HABITS ARE THE UNLOCKED DOOR TO FAILURE. THUS, THE FIRST LAW I WILL OBEY, WHICH PRECEDETH ALL OTHERS IS ---'I WILL FORM GOOD HABITS AND BECOME THEIR SLAVE.'"
-OG MANDINO
IM NOT GONNA WASTE MY TIME SUMMARIZING THIS. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. PEOPLE GIVE THEIR LIFE TO DOING GOOD THINGS BUT AT THE END THEY END UP DEAD. I RATHER DO GOOD THINGS AND BAD THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAVE FUN THAN GROW UP LIVE LIKE A BITTER person WHO DOES EVERYTHING "RIGHT" AND IS A BORING PERSON THAT EVERYONE HATES BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY ACT.
I RATHER JUST DO WHAT I GOTTA DO. AT THE END WHEN I KNOW IM ABOUT TO DIE, ILL KNOW I LIVED A GOOD LIFE AND I HAD FUN, AND I DID EVERYTHING I WANTED. NOT SPEND ALMOST MORE THAN 15 YEARS LISTENING TO A BORING PERSON TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO.

Habit 2: Begin with
the end in mind.
If teens
aren’t clear about where they want to end up in life, about their values, goals,
and what they stand for, they will wander, waste time, and be tossed to and fro
by the opinions of others. Help your teen create a personal mission statement
which will act as a road map and direct and guide his decision-making process.

Start by having a target in mind; know where you are going.

Owns or has easy access to a computer with internet access and e-mail
You don’t have to be a computer expert to be
successful in online learning---but you must have access to a personal computer
with reliable internet access, as well as basic level of competency in using
them. Owning a computer with internet access from your home is ideal but many
students use the computer labs on campus or at their offices to complete their
work.

Has basic computer skills and is willing and open to learning new ones
We said you don’t have to be a computer expert to be

you should have mastered prior to enrolling in an online course.

"GOODNESS IS THE ONLY INVESTMENT THAT NEVER FAILS."
- HENRY DAVID THOREAU
SUMMARY: AGAIN, THIS DON'T MAKE SENSE. STOP TRYING TO MAKE US CHOOSE THE RIGHT, BECAUSE WE WILL STILL BE DOING WHATEVER WE WANT. HOW DO YOU "INVEST" IN "GOODNESS". "GOODNESS" WILL NOT HELP YOU WHEN A NIGGA TRYS TO SHOOT YOU OR SHANK YOU, ARE YOU GONNA KICK HIS ASS WITH "GOODNESS" NO. YOU WILL NOT. I RATHER INVEST ON A GUN OR SOMETHING, THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY PUT IN WORK. AND IT WONT FAIL. ALL "GOODNESS" WILL DO IS MAKE ADULTS LOOK AT ME LIKE A BETTER PERSON.
SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS (PART10)
SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS
PART 9
10. Successful students are good time managers. Successful
students no procrastinate. They have learned that time control is life control
and have consciously chosen to be in control of their life.
An elemental truth: you will either control
time or be controlled by it! Its your choice: you can lead or be lead,
establish control or relinquish control, steer your own course or follow other.
Failure to take control of their own time is probably the no. I study skills
problem for college students. It ultimately causes many students to become
non-students! Procrastinators are good excuse-makers. Don’t make academics
harder on yourself than it has to be. Stop procrastinating. And don’t wait
until tomorrow to do it!
The 10 items listed
above are paraphrased from an article by Larry M Ludewig called Ten
Commandments for effective study skills which appeared in The Teaching Professor, December, 1992.
